San Telmo's Palace

The present seat of the Presidency of the Meeting of Andalusia was constructed in centuries XVII and XVIII in baroque style, like school to form the sailors. The cover is one of the most beautiful examples of churrigueresco art. Executed in limestone stone of white color it is formed by three bodies. The inferior one is made up of toscanas columns, with woods rich ornamented on which the applied balustrades to balcony is sustained that conforms the second body, characterized by the escultóricas representations related to nautical subjects. Finally in the attic it appears the figure of San Telmo, pattern of the navigators, flanked by representations of San Fernando and San Hermenegildo.

The set is of rectangular plant and two heights, with esquineras towers as a pavilions, claustro central and chapel. Of the interior they emphasize the imperial stairs, an ample patio of square plant, a hall columns decorated with paintings of Rafael Tegeo and the church, of a single ship with cupola and an abundant decoration barroca characterized by paintings murals of Domingo Martinez.
When becoming residence of the Dukes of east Montpensier palace was object of an important reform to which it must the construction to him of the northern look, dedicated to a series of represented Sevillians I illustrate native or of adoption in sculptures of natural size, builds of the romantic Antonio Susillo.

In him are the Twelve children of Seville.

Fernando Eagerness of Creek, Duke of Alcala humanist, Fray Bartholomew of the Houses, bishop of Chiapas Mexico, and protector of the Indians.
It is a monument to the Century of Sevillian gold, because all less, four lived in century XVI, including all the arts and humanities. The four exceptions are Ponce of Leon that lived in century XV, Murillo and Miguel de Mañara in century XVII, and but “the modern one”, Daoiz, in century XVIII, principles of the XIX.
