The municipality of Herrera is located in the Southeastern sector of the province of Seville, being adjacent with the one of Cordova. It is located in lands of the Countryside, but next to the South Mountain range. In 1.996 it counted on a population of 5,925 inhabitants.
In earth occupied by this municipality there is great amount of archaeological rest. Oldest they correspond to the Age of the Bronze, also existing of the periods Iberian and Roman.
