The municipality of Castilblanco de los Arroyosis located in the quadrant noroccidental of the county of Seville, in the Sierra North first estribaciones. In 1.996 it had a population of 4.457 inhabitants. The urban nucleus settles mounds between two, located to the northeast and the Southwest, being part of the Sierra of The Pedroso.
This population has her origin in a Roman camp, reutilizado with posteriority for the Visigoths and for the Arab that Castriello denominates it. After their conquest for Fernando's troops III the Saint by the middle of the XIII century, passes to be denominated "Castriel Blanco." The last name "of the Streams" is more recent (1.916) and it is attached to ratify the ownership to this term from the adjacent lands to Seven Streams, among other areas.
The establishment arises as mountain halt in the real road that led from Seville to Almadén of the Silver. In the population's south entrance, the old road (current highway) it is adjusted to the curve of level of 345 meters, passing to the foot of a small hill, in which would be located the refuge or castle that it originates the primitive establishment. Starting from the bench mark 340 and following the real sidewalk, they settle the first constructions during the XIV and XV centuries. But one cannot speak of an authentic urban nucleus until final of the XVI century, when the Parochial Church ends and they are formed the apples that define the current avenue of Spain and street Sancho Dávila.
In the XVIII and XIX centuries two more parallel streets are believed to the previous ones, adjusted to the curves of level 335 and 330 that lingering until the road real native, they conform what we can denominate historical helmet, with apples built by their two faces. The urban center is composed, therefore, of four streets that they get off the hill native, beginning parallel to the road it stops then to be curved until its union with him, giving place to long apples and you narrow. During the XIX century, the growth continues oriented toward the northwest and the east of the road, but the development takes place with the help of big triangular apples. The outlying apples are built in one of their faces, being the back narrow and deep corrals.
In the first half of the XX century the maximum demographic growth takes place. The new highway to Cazalla of the Sierra, with layout to the east of the urban and adjusted center to the bench mark 310, it channels the process urbanizer in this period, colmatándose the space located between the old one and the new highway. In the last years punctual operations of urban renovation have been attacked, becoming corrals housings and being built some new promotions on the edge of the highway of Cazalla (to the north) and of the one on the way to Villaverde. It has also arisen some urbanization of housings unifamiliares to the northeast and separated from the urban helmet.
Among their constructions of artistic historical interest they highlight the Divine Salvador's church (XVI-XVII centuries, of Mudejar style), the Sierra House and the Tavern of the Water.
