The term of Alcolea of the River , located in the region of the High Fertile valley of the Guadalquívir, includes/understands two zones of differentiated ecological interest good in which we can find different faunísticas and botanical species.

In the zone bathed by the Guadalquivir river we found species typical of flora as they can be the taraje and the white poplar and faunísticas species like the real heron, anátidas diverse water pullet and. Next, the Fertile valley is taken advantage of in its majority for cultures in which esteparias species like the alaulidos ones can be seen (cogujadas larks and). Above in the zone of first spurs of the mountain range it is where the vegetation stays in better conditions with less degradation and in them we found species like oaks, rockrose, pine, majuelo and birds like curruca, kestrels and grajillas.
